Things to do while you're here

  • Sequim Museum and Art Center, 175 W. Cedar -- See the remains of a 12,000-year-old mastodon found nearby, as well as belongings of Sequim's first settlers.

  • Cedarbrook Herb Farm, 1345 S. Sequim Ave. -- Like garlic? Buy some here.

  • Lost Mountain Winery, 3174 Lost Mountain Road -- Wine tastings of locally made products.

  • Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park -- The crown of the national park, with outstanding views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

  • Dungeness Spit -- A five-mile hike along this narrow tongue of land takes you to one of Washington's most picturesque lighthouses. Bad news: It's a five-mile hike back.

  • Gray Wolf Trail -- A relatively easy 7.7-mile hike through the Olympic National Forest; trailhead is accessible off Lost Mountain Road.
