If you're visiting, check out these spots:

  • Vintage Telephone Equipment Museum. Three floors of antique telephone and telegraph gear, all of which work. 7000 E. Marginal Way S. Open 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Free. 767-3012.

  • Duwamish Waterway Overlook. A hidden pocket park with knoll overlooking the river. ItŐs next to Boeing Co. Plant 2 on west side of East Marginal Way South near intersection of 7500 South Webster Street and 12th Avenue South.

  • Gateway Park. Hidden between towering stacks of containers, this tiny park offers Duwamish River beach access for launching canoes and kayaks. Lovingly landscaped and maintained by the neighborhood. At west end of Eighth Avenue South, near South Othello Street.
