Visitors to Buckley will find that today's downtown still looks much as it did during the early 1900s photograph above. Downtown has retained its old-fashioned ambience thanks to the restoration of many of the buildings.

The original Buckley High School was built in 1902 but burned down in 1909. A new brick building replaced it in 1910.

Professional photographer Jon Fosiede opened his Buckley studio during the 1890s. He recorded local life in pictures for decades, shooting everything from portraits to school annuals. Children were among his favorite subjects. He is shown here with his granddaughter, Margaret.
