To Do in Bonney Lake

  • Allen Yorke Park, Bonney Lake Boulevard and West Tapps Highway. Enjoy the city's only public access to Lake Tapps while you can -- before water levels are lowered for the fall.

  • Kelley Creek Brewery, 20119 Sumner-Buckley Highway East. It costs only $2 to sip a tall, cold homemade brew in the laid-back outdoor beer garden at the historic Kelley Creek Farm. Open Wednesday through Sunday.

  • Mad Dogs Cafe, 21181 Highway 410 E. Bring a framed photo of your pet to hang on the walls next to Ivory the Siamese cat, Prissy the pooch and other four-legged dignitaries. Coffee is 90 cents an hour; the cheerful ambience is free.

  • Simmons Park, 18200 74th St. E. Eat a picnic lunch in the quiet shade near Lake Bonney. Stroll over to the nearby boat launch for a closer look at the water.
